Hello and welcome to the Buzzy Bee's Banner Bootcamp (BBBB) thread.

What is BBBB?
Run by Buzzy Bee Banners, it's a 1-week banner training course.

How does it work?
Each day, the leader of the camp will post a theme/focus and the members will make a banner according to that. They will have an assigned mentor who will then give them feedback and set them a challenge to do (eg. using a picture background, etc) in the next banner they make. When the next theme is posted, they will try to incorporate what they learned the previous day, making their banner higher quality. At the end of the week, they will receive a digital certificate for completing bootcamp and will have learned valuable tips from their mentor.

What happens if I miss a day? Can I still take part?
Missing a day is absolutely fine!
For students, you will just not get the feedback for the day as you didn't do the banner and you can carry on normally the next day.
For mentors, the leader or another mentor will give the feedback for the day.

Hello campers! I am so excited for BBBB and I’m just going to give you some notes about it so you know what to do on Monday 13th.

So, on Monday, I will make a post titled “Monday - day one” and it will give you a theme. It will give you some things to think about (eg. if it was France, they might be things like “what landmarks does France have?” “Could you use the flag colours?” and some other ones to help with the banner in general like “what size will your banner be?” “What fonts fit the theme?” “Will it have graphics?”). You can make any sort of banner: a shop banner, profile banner, a bump, anything! The mentors are given themes a few days prior to campers finding them and some will make examples to give inspiration (not to be copied however). Please make your banners as soon as you can to give your mentor maximum time to give feedback.
Once you have finished your banner, post it as a link or ideally an image on this thread to show off your beautiful work in this forum and then post a link in the mentoring hub (you should all be curators). In the mentoring hub, also leave your mentoring group and which day it’s for. Your mentor will then reply with feedback and a little challenge (nothing big, just a small thing to include) which you can take on board and use for the next challenge.
Now, the key thing is not to judge yourself against other people. What shows that you are doing well here isn’t that your banner is better than your friend’s, it’s that your banner is better than the one you made yesterday. This bootcamp is about improving and having fun. To learn the maximum, you need to try your best and listen really hard to your mentors.
At the end of the week, you’ll get a digital certificate for finishing.

You can use any program to make and upload your banner but I suggest canva and cubeupload, both free.

By the way, if you'd feel more comfortable with a certain mentor or you'd like to have the same mentor as your friends going together then just put it in your notes - it's meant to be fun so we are happy to be flexible.
