So a lot of people did not like in scratch 3.0 how the screen is on the right side. And the scratch team did studies that show most new scratchers think the right side is more intuitive. I think there is an obvious fix that everyone is missing.
put the screen in the middle

This way, everyone who does not like the screen on the right will be happy because if it is in the middle then it won't be on the right anymore. and new scratchers will find that this is even more intuitive than screen on the right because the very first place you look when you start something is straight ahead, so they will instantly see the screen in the middle. The only downside is that it will end all the fun discussion about reverting to 2.0, because this is the biggest reason why people don't like 3.0

In fact, I'd suggest the exact opposite. I think half the screen should be on the left, and half should be on the right. That way everyone's happy.

Then they can put the scripting area in the middle left and the scripts in the middle right so you have to drag the scripts from right to left.

Also they should replace the green flag with a hot dog.

no support. A hotdog is red and a stop sign is red. So if someone is shape blind, then they wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two red shapes.

Why not have multiple stages? We can have a stage on the left, on the right, in the middle, on both sides, behind you, etc. And to make sure there is no bias, the layering of the stages can be randomized every frame.

Nope, the entire Scratch editor should be the scripting area, and the scripting area has a big rectangular hole in the middle which has all the other tools tightly squeezed in the metal frame. This way it's possible to scroll the Scratch editor to put the screen anywhere.

just buy a second monitor, set them up in the wrong order and then drag your window out into the other monitor obviously

Just remove the stage. It will make Scratch require more skill, only good Scratchers will be a be able to work out what's happening on the stage. People want Scratch to be way more complicated!
