The Official List of Rejected Suggestions

  • I typically check the list every weekend on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at potentially different times. So there should not be any expectation of which day I check the list or what time of day I check the list. If it seems that I usually check the list on a certain day/time, that doesn't mean I will always check the list on that day/time.

  • There is actually no expectation that I need to check the list every week, so on rare occasion I may skip a week due to certain circumstances. If this happens, that is fine and nothing worth sending reminders about.

  • If it seems that I am not checking the list, it doesn't make sense to point that out in this thread, because if I am not checking the thread then I will not see any reminders made on the thread.
Please only send a reminder if a full calendar month has passed since I last posted in this thread, and send such a reminder on my profile.
Perhaps add this to OP?

Don't link your suggestions here unless they have been rejected

For 2.7, the “not rejected” topic linked about connecting game controllers via USB to Scratch has been closed, although not rejected (it was closed due to people no longer really making constructive posts, if I recall correctly)

Hi! I found a rejected suggestion: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/796341/

Put it under 5. Studio Pages.

I don't really see a need to since this appears to be an isolated issue.

This is true, although I'm not sure what to do about it. Linking to the topic and saying that you can discuss on it doesn't make sense since it's closed. Simply saying it's not rejected and not providing a link doesn't make sense because there isn't much in terms of proof. Is it better to say that the suggestion is not rejected but the Scratch Team received all the feedback they need, or something like that? What do you think is a good idea?

Thanks! But I agree with the above user that it's likely not to be suggested very often, so I don't need to add it to the list at this time.

How about "However, the ability to connect gaming controllers to a computer or tablet to use for Scratch is NOT rejected, but its topic has been closed since all that needs to be said has already been said"

6.1 Delete or edit your comments everywhere
The inability to delete your comments everywhere is put in place so users do not post inappropriate comments or spam comments on other users' profiles, projects, or studios, just to delete them later on. In contrast, you are not really likely to spam your own projects or profile. The only benefits to this are to remove comments that you did not mean to post and to fix spelling errors. The former could be solved by thinking carefully before posting any comments, and the latter could be worked around by typing slowly and/or stating your mistakes in a reply to the comment. This also applies to forum posts; that is, a feature for Scratchers to delete their own forum posts will not be implemented.

Editing comments could similarly lead to comment manipulation, such as a user commenting “I like this project,” waiting until someone replies with “I agree,” and then editing the original comment to say “I hate this project.” Allowing Scratch Team members to view the edit history of a comment does not make it easy to moderate, since then they have to look carefully at the context of each edit, which takes time.
What about this?

also this already exists (it's outdated from before i even joined scratch, and thus 75% of TOLORS's existence, so glitcX could possibly take over)

Was that the one Za-chary specifically rejected from being mentioned in the translated lists section a while ago?
