If you tried it with Scratch 3.0, it tests the format from the contents of the file, so even if you rename it to sb2, it will recognize that it should read it as an sb3 file

The renaming doesn't help with opening the project in Scratch 2.0 because it can't read the sb3-format contents

Not to mention:
1. It's .sb, not .sb1
2. The .sb file format is a lot different from the .sb2 and .sb3 file formats
3. There are differences in the file format of .sb2 and .sb3 files, and just typing .sb2 at the end doesn't work

Also, even if it could, there are still blocks that don't exist in 2.0 that one might want to convert

.sb1 does not exist, so you mean .sb

I saw the GitHub page, and I downloaded the file but where do you get the ‘audioop’ module? As I tried pip install audioop, but no valid distribution was found.
