Text boxes in blocks should have line breaks or a truncated appearance when the text inside is long

In Scratch, the text inside of text boxes (where you can directly type what you want in there as well as putting in round data blocks ) are always shown in one line. When I copy and paste an extremely long piece of text, it goes very far off to the right of the editor, even out of bounds where all I see is a blue background behind me. Text boxes should be able to have line breaks to make it taller and slightly wider rather than making it very wide. An even better idea would be so that if the text is not being focused or edited, it only a part of it and truncate with a … or so like this:

When the text is being edited:
set [text v] to [3.14159265258979323846264338327950288 (This text is currently being edited or expanded so you can see this sentence.)]

When the text is not being edited:
set [text v] to [3.14159...]

You could also have it so that after the … there is a small arrow pointing to the right to show that only part of the text is being shown and clicking it will show you the entire text without having to edit it. This would help organize projects and reduce clutter making it easier to work with and also allow people to see the entire text without having to scroll through a long horizontal block.

Oh hi signature reader! Thanks for reading this post. I’m BFDISuperFan, and I really love rhythm games. Oh, and while you’re here reading this, if you also like rhythm games, how about you go try out my attempt at porting DDRMAX2 on Scratch? Here’s the link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/120132146/

What? An evil kumquat? Eating signatures!? Haha, you come up with some funny things-
Hey, where did my closing signature go?

Support! This seems like a good idea.

Why do you support? Why do you think this is a good idea?

To the OP: support. I think a system similar to comments like this could be very useful, especially when making dialogue for a game, as people may be inclined to write the following script:

when I receive [dialogue v]
say [Ah, ha! You have fallen into my trap! If you don't find my gold, then I will eat you alive!] for (5) secs
say [Never, vile fiend! I will hunt you down! Come over here and fight, if you're not a coward!] for (5) secs

Your “dot-dot-dot” idea would help to condense this a bit — although it's not a huge problem now that we have the revised clean-up feature. Even still, what you describe could be fixed.
