I think what you are looking into is a small collaboration. In the collaboration forum section on scratch, you will see many scratchers in huge collaborations. There are 2 ways of collaborating on one project to make changes:

1. Remix:
You can always just keep remixing projects and use/change scripts; I mean, that's what innovative remixing is about The downside of this is that it gets really tedious.

2. Make a collab account:
You could also create a collaboration account, which can be accessed by both you and that other person. The downside of this is that the other person could make changes to he project that you don't appreciate (which has happened to me in some frustrating cases XD).

All in all, it's great that you are looking into collaborative efforts; keep it up!
