My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 71.0.3578.98, Flash 32.0 (release 0)

(Currently in Scratch 2.0) My sound is not recording. When I press “record” and “Allow” it still does not work, and I've gone on to other websites to make sure it isn't a problem with my microphone. I've seen a couple other posts about it here. Does anyone else have this when trying to record? Better yet, does anyone now how to fix it?

Side Note : After testing it out in 3.0 recording, it happens to work there. But 3.0 isn't even out yet, and I'd rather use 2.0 anyway. Worse situation would be i just record audio on a website other than scratch then download them to the website.

I remember once the sound wasn't working on the computer I was using… I restarted it and it the sound worked… I hope this helps!

Thanks for the response! But I tried it and unfortunately it still seems to not be working. I might have to notify the scratch team about this issue.

I mean… audio can not work for a lot of different reasons. I don't think it makes sense to try to lump them together, because the troubleshooting steps could be completely different.

I'm currently having the same problem. It's driving me crazy!! I tried to change the adobe flash settings, but the way to change it works on an outdated version of flash. If you could maybe tell @ceebee about this, I would also benefit from this.

So apparently, if you have a browser other than google, you can still record just like normal. I don't know if you have any other browsers, but if so just use a different one.
