SAVE THE BACKPACK! (Feature Idea)

With the new Scratch Backpack reset, I think Scratch should develop a tool to batch export your backpacks to the computer in the form of.zip and/or project before they release 3.0! This way, Older Scratchers who have “Too much to deal with” in their backpacks can easily save them, all at once! Please comment below what you think about this! I would love Scratch to see this soon and implement this awesome feature idea!

Thanks!

I support, because large and cluttered backpacks would be saved easily, but how would the scripts be stored?

Scripts would be automatically added to a project for you. and zipped in a zip folder!

No support- it's not too hard to fling the contents of your backpack into a project, so it's not particularly worth the effort of adding a workaround.

^I would recommend this method of saving your backpack contents in an unshared project.

As convenient as an export feature would be, we unfortunately don't have the tools or time to develop an export feature for the backpack on top of the upcoming 3.0 update, sadly.

Sadly, my forum signature was eaten by an evil kumquat.

Sorry if I misunderstood or misread something, but hasn't @scratchcat recently made a tutorial on how to “save” your backpack?

Yeah, I believe so.

No support. It's super easy to just make a new project and put everything from your backpack into it.

If you want, save this page onto your computer:
https://scratch.mit.edu/internalapi/backpack/PUT-YOUR-USERNAME-HERE/get/
This is the things inside your backpack.
(Don't worry, you can't see others' backpacks)

No support, you can use the way mentioned above.

But what about the people who have too much stuff in the backpack?

They can still throw them all in a project? It's just a simple click and drag motion. Even if they have so much stuff in their backpack it wont fit in one whole project then they could just throw the rest in another one.

Fine. It's not easy for me, but I guess nobody seems to agree with my idea. Thanks for the hate!

We aren't even hating on you, you could've just taken what we thought the wrong way. As cluttered as your backpack is, we're just trying to let you know the easy work around. Any particular reason you think that emptying out your backpack is so hard? I don't think you've said why before.

1) None of us here has been hating.
2) Putting all of the contents of your backpack into a project really isn't that hard. Or see this project that has recently been featured that explains pretty much everything you need to do once 3.0. comes. Just follow the steps, and you'll see, it's not that hard.
