Scratch Jr MIA on fire tablets

My browser / operating system: Android Linux 5.1.1, Chrome 69.0.3497.100, No Flash version detected

Scratch Jr is gone from both of my kids' Kindle Fire tablets, and I can't find it in the Amazon appstore to reinstall it. Is it no longer available?

I think I was able to find it https://www.amazon.ca/Scratch-Foundation-ScratchJr/dp/B01AKGTD2E/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1538249352&sr=8-8&keywords=scratch+jr Is this what you mean by the Scratch Jr app?

I'm trying to find it in the app store that's part of Amazon Kindle fire's OS. That's the standard way to install apps on the platform. This is Amazon's own flavor of Android. It doesn't have Google Play. Scratch Jr. used to be there. Apparently it has been pulled, which caused the app to vanish from my daughters' tablets, despite being previously installed. Now I can't get it back until the app is published to the app store. I also hope when it does their existing locally stored projects won't be lost.

Hm, I'm not an expert on apps and stuff like that, but probably since the Scratch Jr app was deleted from Amazon then it automatically disappeared from anyone's devices that had the app previously installed. I'd say you should just wait until the app is available again, or maybe consider installing Scratch Jr from a different app store if possible. I'm not sure if your daughters' project would still be there, it depends on their storage system

As far as I'm aware, Scratch Jr has been cancelled for a while. But it shouldn't delete itself like that.

Anyone has their Scratch Jr running on their Kindle Fire and able to access the camera for capturing of own pictures? I couldn’t get the apps to access the camera on my Kindle Fire

I live in Germany, where the ScratchJr is not available at the amazon.de store :S (for android, it is! )
I found a workaround:

I had to go into Settings > Security and enable “Apps from Unknown Sources”. This will allow you to install the necessary APK files that will give you the Google Play Store.

Then googled “scratchjr apk download” and downloaded the apk (in my case from apkpure). Then just installed it

Note: I also am in developer mode (“Locate the “Serial Number” field on this page and tap it repeatedly. Tap it seven or more times and you’ll see a “Developer Options” option appear below it. Tap “Developer Options.””) Not sure if this made any difference

That's awesome! But please read the date when the last post was made before posting next time, as posting on an inactive topic is called necroposting and bumps old topics back to the top.
