Studio Changes & Settings

We all know that feeling when that ONE person makes some unwanted change to your studio, or deletes EVERY SINGLE LAST PERSON. So I thought, what if studios had more settings?

So my idea is that you would be able to allow certain people to do certain things. Now I know this is KINDA implemented with the Curator and Manager dealeo, but I feel more settings are needed.

For example, you could give people you truly trust the ability to make changes such as the description, and delete people. Or maybe you have an “Invite Everyone” studio and you can give everyone the ability to invite, but do nothing else.

I'm not saying necessarily to replace Curators and Managers, but maybe add settings for Managers and Curators.

Another thing that I would like to see is a “Decline Invite” option. This will allow you to decline your invite. Also, I think another thing that MANY people will like is either an auto-decline option, or a Do-Not-Invite option, that way if you don't want to be invited to studios, you won't get the invites!

I would love to hear your opinions, and other ideas on this Topic!

No support.

Recruiting a Scratcher to help manage a studio requires a certain amount of trust. If you cannot trust someone to take on the managerial duties (inviting/deleting Scratchers, editing descriptions, etc.), then do not promote them. Since a curator can do none of that stuff, those who you do not “truly trust” should just stay as a curator.

Support.
This is because Studios have not been updated for so long, (my account is 4 years old and still no big update).

I created about 3 add everything studios, one with over 800 projects, which all got ruined by one person that I thought I trusted.

Scratch is a friendly community, and everyone should be respectful. I hope an update like this will improve the community.

My 1000th post!
I haven't changed my logo since my 96th post on 2014. Now at 1000 posts, I changed my logo!

Support. Basically what everyone else said. This will also allow to stop the “DON'T CHANGE THUMBNAIL OR DESCRIPTION” nonsense on studios.

Precisely. It's always hard to turn down manger requests too, so then you CAN promote them without the constant worry that they might destroy your studio!

It's not really too hard; you just say no. Explain that you only promote those who you truly trust. As strange as it can sound, learning to say “no” is actually a really important life skill.

I agree, but sometimes they promoted the wrong person. The wrong person ruins the studio.

Support. I think that more settings should be enabled as there seems to be a big jump between the benefits of curating and that of managing. I don't think that a single role should have the ability to add/remove projects, add/remove curators, change the description, change the thumbnail and promote others;it should be all be split up depending on levels of trust.

(First ever post btw!!! :O)

Saying “No” is a VERY important life skill, but with something like this, where that one person could either just be a part of the studio and do well, or they could just destroy it… I know that from experience.

Full Support!

Reasons
1. I don't really like getting invited to studios because they mostly seem like spam to me so a Decline Invite or an option to Decline All Invites would be nice.
2. The problem with the current Curator and Manager difference in power is really bad at the moment, so we should make it so that becoming a manager is just a way to make it so that you can get more management power and not a guarantee to destroy someone else's work. e.g. having the ability to add projects but not remove any but your own.
