How To Get Unbanned
Hi.
Many Scratchers get banned so this tutorial post will help you get unbanned.
1) Don’t go on an alt or create a new account.
While it may be tempting, don’t go onto one of your alt accounts or go make a new one. Scratch Team can see you and your old account share a computer or IP address. This, according to ST member Paddle2See, “we block your alts and reset ban time”.
2) To dispute a ban, contact appeals@scratch.mit.edu to arrange it. Be polite and honest. Don’t say I was hacked! unless you really were.
If you say some random person hacked you but ST data shows only your computers, it’s kind of obvious that you’re lying. And don’t lie in your appeal. Paddle2See also told me: “A lot of ppl say “My older brother hacked me!” so much it starts to sound more and more like ‘Dog ate my homework’. Just be honest, the ST wants to unban you
3) Try not to get banned again. Even if you do get unbanned, a second ban may see you not even get a chance to appeal. And the ST may not alert you if you get banned again — especially for the same thing you got banned/alerted for in the past. Also, you’re likely to be unbannrd the first time, but your chances decrease every time. Also, if you are a minor (under 18) and have been banned in the past, ST may ask your parent, teacher or guardian submit an appeal instead, or even call the ST as this is harder to fake.
4) Some Scratchers do something quite bad, known as a shock or shocker. They are comments or project that are extremely bad, mean or inappropriate and so when they try to sign in it will say ‘This account has been deleted!’ This may also happen for those who have recived many alerts or bans in a short amount of time.
Hope this helps! If you have an idea for an edit, pls tell me or if this info helped.

This is a nice tutorial, as it is one of the more common questions asked on the site. I agree with FloatingMuffins, this should get stickied. I would like to add also about calling them as well. Calling them helps them see whether or not the scratcher's parent is calling them (to avoid impersonation), and seeing as they get a ton of mail each day, they might respond to you if an adult is needed in a certain situation. A question relating to this was being asked on one of the other topics on Questions About Scratch, credit to where ever I found info But that is just a suggestion you could add
This is pretty helpful, and overall, this is great.

Nice guide, I can see you spent a bit of time on it, but I don't really see the point for it. Scratchers won't be able to access the website during a ban, so they won't be able to see this topic, and besides, the appeal instructions are already included when appealing.
