It's about time this awesome game got some more recognition!

Just a wee bit about the game for those who don't know–

The World Ends With You (TWEWY)/It's A Wonderful World is an action-adventure roleplaying game developed by Square Enix. It follows the adventure of the protagonist, Neku, who gets sucked into the “Reaper's Game”, a life-or-death game where the participants, “Players”, must complete daily missions or face complete erasure.

Since this game is getting a remix/remaster on the Nintendo Switch this October, I figured now would be a great time to help spread the word about this game.

You can discuss anything and everything relating to TWEWY here! However, I ask that you please make sure to hide spoilers using "/ " text commands for those of us who have not played/finished the game! (Just remove the periods.)

Before we get this going though, like any good game, we need ground rules.

1. Follow the community guidelines when discussing! Nothing inappropriate, NSFW, offensive or otherwise unfitting. (NFE content like non-explicit/non-graphic romance and a little blood are OK, though. Please just tag (warn) beforehand.)

2. No flaming. Flaming of any kind will result in erasure. ):C I want to encourage open and fun discussion here.

3. Please don't spam. To clarify, spam would count as posting in this topic about anything that is unrelated to this topic, TWEWY, or reposting/repeating the same thing over and over again for no reason. Also, if you are not here to actively contribute something useful, then please do not post, as that is spam as well.

Nothing's wrong with it, but by this point the graphics are very outdated, the sound probably isn't too great (because this IS the DS we're talking about) and the newer versions have some added stuff as well. The newer versions are just shinier. x3

I know the Switch one will supposedly have some added story, which I'm very much looking forward to, and since it's added story the other versions don't have, to get the “complete” game the Switch version seems to be the one. But, in terms of the actual game versions there are a few changes you might want to look out for, though, as far as Solo Remix and the original DS version.

First and foremost, a big part of the DS version is the two-screen combat, and Solo Remix doesn't have that–they just squished two into one. I don't think the Switch one will have two-screen combat either, as there has been no showcasing of it in any of the trailers released (and that'd probably be very confusing). Some of the partner mechanics were also changed in the Remix, to both good and bad ends (ie. controlling both Players in the original DS version can be pretty hard but they fixed that in iOS, but the Partner mechanics tend to be very unbalanced)

I suppose if graphics and shiny stuff doesn't matter too much to you, you can go with any version, but I think waiting for the Switch release is the best way to go since there will be new content and this is the “definitive” release of the game. Kinda like what they did with the Kingdom Hearts series.

Oh my gosh, the Final Remix music remixes are absolutely amazing!!!!

My absolute favorite of them is the “Psychedelic” remix. “Psychedelic” was one of my favorite tracks from the original, and they did an amazing job with the remix!
