Showing Users When They Are Banned (READ BEFORE SAYING REJECTED)
Now, sometimes you want to show people that you are banned. But sadly you can't. I personally have been banned for 3 days, and I wanted people to know that, but nobody knew, because there isn't anything to that you are banned. There should be an option in user settings to allow people to show that you are banned. It would look like this:
When Your Banned, If You Checked It, It Looks Like This:
(It doesn't always say 3 days).
When Your Banned, If You Checked It, It Looks Like This:
(It doesn't always say 3 days).

Showing Users When They Are Banned (READ BEFORE SAYING REJECTED)
I'd support, although I have a feeling like it's still technically rejected(?). Though, the sticky doesn't really say anything about if it's rejected even if the user has a choice, so I don't quite know for sure.
If this gets implemented, though, I feel like it should also turn off commenting on their profile and possibly projects too until they get unbanned, to prevent gossiping/etc.
I guess I'll semi-support for now.

The “Report” button will still be a feature. If this gets implemented, though, I feel like it should also turn off commenting on their profile and possibly projects too until they get unbanned, to prevent gossiping/etc.

Semi support. Firstly, “they” is more inclusive and less bulky than “he/she”, so the final banner should probably use that. I sort of agree with this on the grounds that it can let users know why you are unresponsive, however it's also likely to cause some gossip and could lead to users asking the team to unban the banned user without knowing the full context.

But thanks. I will try changing the banner. The “Report” button will still be a feature. If this gets implemented, though, I feel like it should also turn off commenting on their profile and possibly projects too until they get unbanned, to prevent gossiping/etc.

no support, this can make you angry
But it's supposed to be optional.

Just use the report button. Semi-support, I like how this allows Scratchers to show why they're inactive, but you know… You can't stop gossip.

Support, but as said above, it could lead to gossip. I still support though, even though I have never been banned, luckily.
However, I think comments on their profile and projects should be closed.

The issue isn't in reporting the gossip, it's in the amount of gossip/arguing there'd be and the amount of people who might take it ‘personally’ to some degree. There's enough moments on the site as it is where some user gets banned or has a disagreement and suddenly everyone who follows them is pointing fingers at anyone who seems to be to blame, often the scratch team themselves. Having a big, noticeable banner that basically says “Hey! The scratch team banned your favourite user!” to them would probably make this worse.Just use the report button. Semi-support, I like how this allows Scratchers to show why they're inactive, but you know… You can't stop gossip.

No support, as it creates confusion and distrust, and scratchers might get mad at the scratch team for banning one of their friends.

If that were to happen, people would need to learn to use “Contact Us”. Those people might as well get their own butts banned if they keep complaining. No support, as it creates confusion and distrust, and scratchers might get mad at the scratch team for banning one of their friends.

Yeah, but it would still cause anger within the community, which is still a bad thing. If that were to happen, people would need to learn to use “Contact Us”. His post also provides a great argument against your suggestion, that users would become angry when their friends are banned.
It seems that you don't understand his post, not the other way around.
