Super Mario Scralaxy - Official Bug Tracker

Hi there! I'm part of a collab group called the Scralaxy Team, and we're working on a game called Super Mario Scralaxy. You can find our main studio here. I've decided to make a bug tracker thread so we can organize known bugs and patch them out easier.

If you find a bug, just let me know by replying and I'll add it to the tracker. We'll remove it once it's patched. Thanks!

IT'S NOT A BUG, IT'S A FEATURE
- Restarting the game removes unlocked characters (currently, it clears save data, this will be fixed once we implement saving)
- Going back levels causes objects to respawn

FIXED BUGS (0.5.7)
(SMS-001) Diving into the side of a pipe causes the player to enter the pipe and softlock (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-002) Some stars do not display animations correctly (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-003) Luigi, Waluigi, and Wafano can jump through the character and partner blocks (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-004) Exiting a stage while in a minecart softlocks the game (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-006) Minigames are completely broken (discovered by @MegaHedgehog)
(SMS-008) It is possible to walk left or right to go to next/previous screen in the character and partner rooms in the castle (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-009) Selecting the test room for Dev Start acts the same as selecting the Mushroom Festival (discovered by @ToadfanSchool)
(SMS-010) After collecting a star you can still move and jumping into a pit during this time softlocks the game (discovered by @DD-8861)
(SMS-005) Diving into a wall in some levels can get you stuck and cause the game to crash (discovered by @PusheenGames23)
(SMS-007) Changing screens sometimes launches player to the top of the screen (discovered by @PixelKing777)
(SMS-013) Changing characters near a wall causes the player to sometimes shoot up to the top of that wall (discovered by @Hasanmajid10)
(SMS-014) Diving into a spring while touching a wall causes the player to launch to the top of the wall (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-017) Standing next to a wall and turning around causes the player to shoot up to the top of the wall (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-012) Jumping sometimes causes the jumping voice clip to repeat twice (discovered by @Sonic0906_2)
(SMS-047) Player is unable to take damage from regular enemies (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-051) Touching the side of a pipe still allows you to descend, clipping into the floor (discovered by @gaming_spider999)
(SMS-034) Clicking green flag during objective-a-thon causes objective and highscore to not hide (discovered by @RainbowDash6)

KNOWN BUGS (0.5.7)
(SMS-011) Pressing Up and Right while entering Bowser Jr's Airship crashes the game (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-015) Timer in Time Attack mode causes large amounts of lag to the game (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-016) Dev Mode cheat list overlaps the button to toggle cheats (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-018) Husk does not have animations and is just an overlay of Luigi (not really a bug but needs to be changed ASAP as it detriments from using Husk) (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-019) Stefano is unlocked after beating Caveman Cliff Hike, not Showdown on the Falls (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-020) Using the Invincibility cheat causes game to crash (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-021) Watching the whole cutscene where Peach is kidnapped doesn't count the cutscene as finished, so the music still plays and you can click to skip (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-022) Coin blocks give all 10 coins at once rather than one at a time (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-023) Midway through the Cloud Ship Scralaxy Time Trial there's a spot that causes you to glitch through the floor and die (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-024) Ceiling detection can sometimes cause the player to glitch through the floor and die (possibly related to SMS-023?) (discovered by @DjDmaster)
(SMS-025) Fireballs do not have wall or ceiling detection (discovered by @DjDmaster)
(SMS-026) Infinite coins at the end of The Underground (discovered by various people)
(SMS-027) Bosses do not despawn after leaving the boss screen (discovered by @DjDmaster)
(SMS-028) Objective-a-thon timer counts down while in pause menu (discovered by @DjDmaster)
(SMS-029) Sometimes the warp pipe to Green Grass Scralaxy does not appear (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-030) Cutscene does not count as “finished” unless clicked to skip, even if you do so after the intended end (discovered by @redyoshi857 and @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-031) Star collection screen overflows through costumes causing a different character to sometimes appear (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-032) Diving or jumping into a galoomba sometimes causes the player to take damage (discovered by @redyoshi857 in 0.2.9, @ZappyBarbecue10 post-0.4.8)
(SMS-033) Time Attack mode does not exit when exiting a stage (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-035) Jump noise plays multiple times when jumping (discovered by @ExplodedMushroom)
(SMS-036) In mobile mode jumping is only possible at lowest height (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-037) Pausing during cutscenes is possible (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-038) Ongoing wall collision issues (discovered by @ZappyBarbecue10)
(SMS-039) Double jump possible in starting room of castle when entering doors (discovered by @scramaso)
(SMS-040) Possible to get stuck in broken Mushroom Festival level from unfinished missions. Will be fixed when all levels are implemented! (discovered by @lev1up)
(SMS-041) Falling into a pit while switching screens causes either death or wall clipping (discovered by @theboss19283)
(SMS-042) Turning into Fire Mario and entering a pipe at the same time causes the powerup to not go away eventually (discovered by @theboss19283)
(SMS-043) Dying while in a minecart causes all enemies to do no damage to you for the rest of the minecart segment (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-044) Minecart levels are way too difficult for their location in the game
(SMS-045) Background in the Peach getting kidnapped cutscene shakes out of place exposing the bugged out normal game behind (discovered by @redyoshi857 and @Speedy663)
(SMS-046) Exiting Spearhead Showdown does not despawn Giant Spearhead (discovered by @gaming_spider999)
(SMS-048) Minecart Mayhem is unable to be beaten (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-049) Collecting Cloud Ship Scralaxy's Grand Star does not allow the player to open the door to the Basement (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-050) Star counter in pause menu renders above guide and shop (discovered by @redyoshi857)
(SMS-052) “Welcome to the Scralaxy” text does not disappear immediately when exiting a level (discovered by @gaming_spider999)
(SMS-053) On the 7th screen of The Adventure Begins, going back a level causes repeated death (discovered by @gaming_spider999)
(SMS-054) Hitbox sometimes is visible (discovered by @gaming_spider999)
(SMS-055) Mario's dive will sometimes cause him to use Luigi voice clips (discovered by @SuperStarterSquad)
(SMS-056) It is possible to double-jump in a minecart (discovered by @SuperStarterSquad)

Well, I don't know if this is a bug or is unfinished, but on 0.4.8, I had all charactars except Luigi and Stephano, but next time I played I only had Mario? Weird.

theres a bug on the unfinished levels where if you go in one then it will teleport you back to the start of the game

That's because the level's don't exist (yet).

when i moved from part of a level to the next i the character ran into a wall then went up. i'm not sure if it's a glitch or poor level design.

That's a glitch, it's because of different charactar hitboxes.

When you touch a star, you still have control of the character until you touch the ground. If you grab a star and then jump into a pit, it softlocks the game.

Not sure if this is known, since you semi explained my problem in known issues, but when i went into the castle i accidentally went to the previous screen, but couldn't progress.

I don't know if this is a bug, but when you jump the character voiceclip continuously repeats itself instead of ending.

In 0.5.0 you can still change charactars even if you are by a wall.
