I think the first version of Scratch didn't come out until 2007. What version are you looking at?

There were prototypes of Scratch as early as 2003.

There use to be scratcharchive.cf, where you could easily get pre 1.0 versions of scratch, but it was shut down.
I don't have the March 16th 2004 image, but I have the October 13th 2004 image if that interests you.

No, it didn't. That's actually a common mistake. The Scratch Team says the “birthday of Scratch” was on 2007 but this is completely false info. Only 1.0 was released then. Scratch has existed since 2003.

I think the OP meant March 14, 2005. Not March 16, 2004.

I don't think so. If you want to use the offline 1.4 editor (which is pretty much the closest you can get), I think you can download it, though.

I think the older versions are on the Wiki, such as all 1.x versions and earlier, but I don't know.

Accounts were added to the main Scratch site in 2007. I believe there was another Scratch site which had accounts first but it doesn't exist anymore.
I'm pretty sure I saw a screenshot about “the history of Scratch” once on the forums and it had an actual community but in 2006 with the 2006 website, it might have been edited though.

No, still incorrect. It's very different for software like Scratch, because, correct me if I'm wrong, but people had access to Scratch before the full release such as testers not part of the ST.
