Greetings and salutations

As of recent I have adopted creative writing as a hobby which I use to pass the time. In the month I have been writing, my work so far is made of 2 short stories.
The first, “King's Speech,” is about a president with his people against him and his effort at winning their favour by debunking rumours about him.
The second, “Lost Contact,” is about two men who have become astronauts after challenging lives and are embarking on a secretive mission.
I intend on writing a full length novel, for which I have the plot mostly figured out. But before I start it, I want to have a collection of short stories to add to the two I already have. Unfortunately, I do not have any solid ideas.

SO: I have created this thread so that anyone else with a similar interest can share their ideas or discuss things they have written in the hope that it inspires other users like myself in creating something coolish. So shoot your ideas in there and feel free to use any ideas that are contributed here
