HOW TO RP

1. Type what your character says (dialogue) in quotation (“…”) marks.

Almonius Pike smiled. “Welcome to Hogwarts!” he declared.

2. Type everything else RP'ed as normal text. This includes actions.

Faleen walked over to the headmaster. “What should we do?” he asked.

3. Any non-RP text in a post should be separated by parentheses.

(What time do you get back?) She whirled around, ready to meet the intruder.

STUDIO RULES

1. All RPs are done in the studio.
2. Curators are allowed two characters, teacher or student.
3. Managers are allowed up to five characters.
4. You can transition from curator to manager by:
a. RP'ing for 60+ days. You are in charge of keeping track of when you start. And, please keep in mind, if you are
lying, I WILL be scrolling through the comments as a way of checking. You lie, you don't get promoted.
b. Be active in the forums for 60+ days.
c. Be trusted by the moderators.
5. This is an LGBTQ-friendly studio. If you have a problem with this, don't accept the invitation. If you are caught
harassing someone because of their inherent sexuality, you will have your butt swiftly removed and reported.
Hogwarts RP does not tolerate bullies. This is your only warning.
6. Keep RP'ing to a PG-13 limit. If it's not appropriate for your grandmother, it's not appropriate here.
7. If I catch someone RP'ing as a teacher having romantic relations with a student, the punishment will be the same
as in Rule #4.
8. No killing off other people's characters without their permission.

HOGWART'S RULES

1. Magic:
a. Magic outside of study sessions or the common rooms may only be used with an authority's permission.
b. Dueling may only be completed under the supervision of an authority.
c. Magic can always be used for emergencies or self-defense.
2. Conduct:
a. All students must be in their common rooms by 10:00 PM (your time zone).
b. No student may leave Hogwarts grounds without their parents' and the headmaster's permission.
c. Hogsmeade is open for third through seventh years. No exceptions.
d. No swimming in the Black Lake.
3. House Points:
a. House points may only be awarded by faculty.
b. Head Boy/Girl can take away up to 15 house points at a time for misbehavior or rule-breaking.
c. Prefects may deduct up to 10 points from their respective houses for misbehavior or rule-breaking.
d. Awarded House Points must be recorded here.
