B.T.W Scratch 3 looks epic but I can use it I don't have WebGL

According to how long Scratch 2 lasted(about 6 years), Scratch 4 will come out in 2025-2030. It's not confirmed that its coming out, but it's just a prediction.

When is scratch: 4.0 coming out

I’m sure the ST will update the graphics and add small new features in between 3.0 and 4.0.

This is unannounced but usually a new version is released about 5 years after the previous versions release. It may not be called 4.0. So the next version will probably be released somewhere in 2024 I guess. Keep in mind, this is just a prediction, in the early-mid 2020's there is a chance of a new version!

Not even a 3.1 yet, so you'll have to do for some serious waiting. But I hope we see the return of the all at once and the for each (letter) of (input) block.

Hmm… I have a feeling Scratch 4.0 has no reason to come out.

You all know Flash is going to be removed in 2020. That's the main reason the Scratch Team decided to create 3.0 and make it run on HTML5 instead of Flash. Along with that, they probably added some other new GUI features and blocks to give Scratchers a hype.

So 4.0 only needs to come out if HTML5 stops. You all probably know HTML has been there from around the year 2000. HTML5 is a new version past the many versions of HTML. So…why should HTML5 stop? A lot of people use HTML5 to use JS for creating their websites. So the creators probably won't suddenly give an announcement that HTML is going to shut down?

I think Scratch 4.0 will come out someday. We're not really thinking about it right now though, as we are still working on updating 3.0.
