Map where the country size is proportional to the population size in 2018. Source
Today is the 27th Wiki Wednesday! Apropos, if you wish to see more wiki-related content, then comment down below with what kind of community activities we should be focusing on!
Here are the Wiki Articles of the Month:
Deutsch (German): Bewegung von Figuren animieren
In vielen Scratch-Projekten geht es darum eine Figur auf der Bühne zu bewegen. Dabei gibt es verschiedene Bewegungsarten, welche im folgenden Artikel vorgestellt werden.
English: Animated GIF
Animated GIFs are GIF files with multiple frames that can be played in a sequence, making an animation. Animated GIFs are often used as profile pictures and signatures.
What is Wiki Wednesday?
On the last Wednesday of every month, we will highlight the Scratch Wiki and a few chosen articles in different languages. Find out more info and how you can participate at this studio: What is Wiki Wednesday?
What is the Scratch Wiki?
The Scratch Wiki is a collaboratively-written wiki available for free that provides information about the Scratch programming language and its website, history, and phenomena surrounding it. The wiki is supported by the Scratch Team, but is primarily written by Scratchers. The Scratch Wiki is a popular source of information for scripts and tutorials, and it continues to grow as Scratchers use it as their primary source of information. This could also include advanced articles for Scratchers around the world to build, share, and see.

@MakeTheBrainHappy: First many thanks to your restless engagement for Wiki Wednesday. I appreciate your work very much! What's about the Wiki-communities missing this month? Did you ask them to take take proactive? Didn't they reply? How can we motivate them to take part in the future? How can we motivate people of that languages to join and help their Scratch-Wiki by getting Scratch-Wiki-Author of that languages?

As usual a very loaded question but it certainly encapsulates the challenge which I face each month. I have not checked on the test-language communities as much as I probably should have, so I don't really have a great answer for all of them but I will try my best.
As usual it all comes down to finding good wiki users/members which is difficult due to language-barriers. Then selecting a reliable administrator is also difficult as we have recently experienced on the Russian Wiki.
Dutch - The last recorded activity in the past year was one edit by Xota, whose email I have. LiFay and I sent them an email a couple months ago about WW but they didn't have time and I haven't followed up since. We'd really need to find a new Dutch community in order to revitalize it (similar to what is happening on the Russian Wiki).
Hungarian - I'm not sure when the last recorded activity was but we have no leads on native wiki editors. I believe we had a lead somewhere for a potential new editor but it kind of faded and I believe that they were in elementary school anyway…
Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) - The administrator submitted an article last month but did not respond this time.
* Italian - Unsure
* Spanish - Administrator not interested/went inactive.
* Portuguese - Unsure
* Turkish - Unsure
* Hindi - Unsure
* Polish - Unsure
* Chinese - Ken forgot to submit
* Korean - Little contact.
* Hebrew - Main Administrator went inactive
* Slovenian - Unsure
I realize now that I need to follow up more with the test-wikis.

*Sigh… I allways miss these! I sould look in the announcements every day!
May the cries of your enemies be silenced by space's void.
(Does anybody remember that from two SWC sessions ago?)
Hey, another siggy scroller!
Hey, if you made it this far, you're a pretty dedicated siggy scroller.
Guess what? I'm a baker, dancer, Disney fan, enneagram lover, teen, who loves scratch, helping out in shops, and guiding new scratchers on their journey through scratch.
My sister is PFTV. If you don't know who she is, good luck finding her…
You know, you should really stop climbing down the stairs to my basement.
I told you to stop, there are some personal things down there!
Whoa whoa whoa, you better sllllllooooooooowwwww down.
You're still looking? Alright fine. Now you know. DON'T GO FURTHER
Come on, please?
… *sobs* pwetty pwese?
Alright fine. You went this far. I guess I've gotta give ya somethin'. Here ya go, I'm a potato. You heard it. now go to my profile and comment “chez puffs”.
