STAR WARS: THE LEGENDS TRILOGY
An obscure trilogy of mediocrity in a galaxy far, far away…

Currently in Star Wars, there appear to be two trilogies:

• Prequel
• Original
  

There are also two trilogies that are not done yet:

• Sequel
• Anthology (“A star wars story” films)
  

And there will be an untitled trilogy and an untitled film series, according to Wikipedia and Wookieepedia.

But there is another trilogy, the legends trilogy. Its films are, from first to last:

• Star Wars Holiday Special
• Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure
• Ewoks: The Battle for Endor
  

The links go to Wikipedia so you can learn about these films.

The legends films are made-for-television films and television specials made during the late 70s and the early mid 80s. They take place during the original trilogy. These films are non-canonical and extremely bad. On rotten tomatoes:

• “Star Wars Holiday Special” has a 33% rating and a 19% audience score.
• “Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure” has a 25% rating and a 44% audience score.
• “Ewoks: The Battle for Endor” has an unknown rating and a 51% audience score.
  

These ratings are worse than the prequels (with the exception of The Clone Wars film, but that was technically a standalone). I'm not even joking.

Since these films are so mediocre and so forgotten, why should we care? We should care about this forgotten trilogy because its part of the Star Wars family. We should also talk about it because it is the most kid-friendly Star Wars trilogy– the first and last films of the trilogy are NR and the other film is G– and Scratch is a children's website.

Also, you can watch the Star Wars Holiday Special and Ewoks: Battle for Endor on Youtube, but Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure isn't on Youtube as a full movie, sadly.

Another thing, I wouldn't exactly call it a trilogy. The two ewok films go together, but the holiday special doesn't go with them.

You're right. But I will still continue to call the films a trilogy, even if it does not make sense (which would support my opinion that the films are terrible).

I watched Starwars holiday special for the first time 2 years ago around christmas time and ,even though it was hard for me to understand what was going on in some parts, I liked it
