What is a meme?
A meme typically refers to a video/image/etc that is humorous in nature and spread around online with various iterations, but is often used on scratch to refer to a project (typically a animation), not specifically humorous in nature, intended to be spread around and remixed.

What is a meme?
A meme is a cool thing that isn't cringy yet, (until it becomes what is known as a “dead meme” where people who want to be “down with the kids” start doing it). Globglogabgalab, number 15 burger king, you name it. However it is also misused on Scratch for animated videos of cats dancing. These videos are known as “MeMes” (not related to the origin of the word meme, pronounced mee-mees instead of meems), however, due to the no-longer popular trend of putting titles in all caps, many people refer to MeMes as memes, even though this is incorrect and angers many people who would like to find actual memes and not MeMes that are titled “memes”.

What is a meme?
I assume that you're asking about Animation Memes so that's what this post is about.
An Animation Meme is when somebody takes a song and puts their OC Dancing to it. Usually they use Warrior Cats, although these are not the only cases. I have seen plenty of memes with dogs or humans. A common way they make them dance is by using Glide To blocks to make the head bob up and don and/or Rotation blocks to make the head tilt. They may also make their OC change emotion in time to the song, and the backdrops may change as well.
There's been controversy started around these because many people say that they do not fit the definition of Meme and are lazy and get top-loved for no reason. However, they do take a long time to make (go right ahead and ask me) and they do, in fact, fit the definition of Meme according to Google.
(bits in blue are added by me)

-Heads bobbing up and down to the beat of the song, OCs Dancing to a song-that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another-From the original project creator to the remixer (since memes are often remixed)- by nongenetic means, especially imitation. -By usually keeping the regular scripts but with different art. There's also a section in the an element of a culture or system of behavior Wiki about it (and I see that you're modifying that page).
Sorry, but your information about Animated Memes is incorrect. Animated Memes are still pronounced “meem” and are not a misuse of the word. It matches the definition. Unfortunately, you are wrong. They were originally called MeMes and were pronounced “mee mees”, however, due to language and caps lock, it became “meme” even though this is incorrect. It does not match the definition of meme (despite what you may have heard like “memes are things that are recreated” which some people define it as even though that definition has changed, memes are fresh trends that are funny until they become dead, but MeMes are not meant to be humorous, and they don't “die out” like memes do.)Sorry, but your information about Animated Memes is incorrect. Note that this is the “posh” definition (I don't know what to call that type of definition) and is not the current recognised meaning. Definition of a meme by Google:meme

Let's see…I don't see any Hot Milk Memes anymore….I don't see any Medicine Memes anymore…oh look. DEAD MEMES. (mic drop) Unfortunately, you are wrong. Why are you trying to discriminate against animated memes? Can you list EVERYTHING wrong with them? They're actually really hard to animate and code (the process usually involves a lot of broadcasts, splitting up the music into little clips, Wait () secs Blocks, etc), and they're actually a good way to vent and show off your creativity, art style, and coding skills. They match a lot of things that Internet Memes do: They spread Rapidly around the internet, People put their own twists on them, people forget about them and don't make them anymore after a while, they're a type of trend, etc.

What is a meme?
A meme is an element of culture or system of behaviour passed from one person to another.
An animation meme is an animation of a character, normally an oc moving to the beat of a short clip of music.
Some animation memes are a gift for somebody else and involve their oc.
I hope this helped ^_^ !

Woah, now I never said I didn't like MeMes (well, I don't enjoy them/like them, but I don't say it's really bad)Let's see…I don't see any Hot Milk Memes anymore….I don't see any Medicine Memes anymore…oh look. It's just that people confuse them with memes, which is why I would like to help Scratchers know the difference. I'm just trying to be helpful. I don't understand how they spread rapidly though, I've never seen that.
