I'm basically a beginner where it comes to the Wiki and stuff, but what does the image below mean?

(If this helps, I tried to edit my userpage)

Something for the workarounds page:
online?::sensing boolean
<not<(translate [hello] to (English v)) = []>>

translations are cached so that would not work

It's the Wiki equivalent to the 60 second rule. On the Wiki, New Wikians can only make one edit every three minutes.

Did it get a lot of controversy?

you will need to randomize the string, else it doesn't work since translations get cached

I haven't actually made an edit in a while (last time I've edited on the Wiki was ~ a year ago) and this was my first edit in a while, but I still got this message after I've waited for more than 3 minutes.

Same. It's been about a month since my last edit but I still get this message.

Very interesting. I've never seen this happen when I was a New Wikian.

What's a rate limit? I saw this when trying to edit my newly made wiki account, so it might be that.

(i PHYSICALLY cannot provide a picture to it, the url wouldn't load and I don't wanna create a stand-alone project just for the sole purpose of showing this.)

What happened to the sprunki Page in the controversy page on the wiki?

Ok so for context: I just seen a topic about suggesting to partially unban sprunki, so I posted out why I thought it shouldn’t be unbanned but then I remembered I could get further proof on why it shouldn’t be unbanned from the scratch wiki because I remember a while ago it was added to the controversy media franchises. But then when I look it up the entire section on sprunki is gone. But the controversy page still comes up when sprunki is looked up.

Was this a purposeful removal? If so then why?, sprunki was a big game in its prime being so big content farms on social media platforms made content on it (for context I’m referring to the content farms that only target the most popular content at that time). Did someone get a wiki account just to remove it?,

Even if it was for a good reason then I still think it should have a page on the controversy section due to how much gore sprunki fan games were produced at that time with some even getting into trending. If it was never a page to begin with then I believe the same thing

(Edit) I did some more searching and found out the wiki still linked a post from paddle2see about sprunki, so maybe it was fused with the entirely banned franchises?, in my personal opinion that just seems wrong due to how sprunki was (to my knowledge) one of the biggest controversial scratch games. I feel like if my theory is true on it being fused with the entirely banned franchises then it should be reset back to having its own page due to how it affected the online platform

No. You must register for a wiki account.

here's the explanation:
removing a section about a piece of media that is now considered fully banned from scratch - i think its presence here was fine and helpful when it was only considered semi-banned, but now that the ST has clarified it is fully banned we shouldn't be telling scratchers all about something they shouldn't know about
I can't remember if there was a topic about this on the Community Portal; if there wasn't, you could make a new topic to try to get it back (if you want)

I think it's pretty nice, only issue is thar on byte counters on edits when it's negative it's kinda hard to see on mobile I think it should be a brighter red but other than that it's pretty cool

So because it was “fully banned” that means in-depth info should be removed? What if some random kid in the future looks up sprunki on the controversy page to find out the info on it there and the only link to the paddle2see reply to a topic.

“ we shouldn't be telling scratchers all about something they shouldn't know about” that is actually just hiding info from the public. Now because of this kids will probably have to go to other platforms just to find out stuff on the subject which may link them to videos that go in-depth about what happened to the creator of the game which could scare them or it could give them links to forum topics that have been abandoned for ages.

My biggest problem with this is that it’s not just some random adult or 18+ game/show, it’s a Scratch gore game that got so popular that it flooded the site with gore games, had a bunch of content farms make videos of it, a bunch of fan games, an entire drama revolving people outside scratch attacking the creator (which was happening whilst or before the sprunki wiki page was still a thing). It makes sense for adult shows and games to be in the entirely banned franchise section because they barely had an effect on scratch besides having projects made of them but sprunki was a game made through scratch and was probably the most popular game to reach like people outside the scratch community in a while

I agree with these arguments. I do not know much about this Sprunki thing, but I do believe the Scratch Wiki should not be selectively removing content based on the status quo. Many pages on the Scratch Wiki exist because they are useful from a historical perspective, and considering the previous popularity and possible historical interest in these projects, the page on them should be treated no differently.

Whoever said this does not understand the historical importance of the Scratch Wiki. Should we remove the pages and any mentions of every banned subject matter, including chatrooms, spam, block hacking, kaj, and the many more contentious topics? Most certainly not. There is a great distinction between objectively documenting a banned subject and encouraging users to break the rules. As long as the status of the subject is made abundantly clear, there should be no issue with having a page on it, and editors should most definitely not be the ones to decide what Scratchers should and shouldn’t know about Scratch (which is what the wiki is supposed to be documenting as a whole, not selectively omitting parts of). Yes, the wiki is by Scratchers, for Scratchers, but what may not matter to one Scratcher may matter to another, and this is exactly why everyone can edit wikis in the first place!

If you want that page back you should absolutely do this, and take your compelling arguments with you!

Apologies for the wall of words, but I find it makes every message sound more inspirational!
