So I looked in the directory and noticed that there was not a Nintendo Switch Topic, so I decided to make one… I guess this could be to talk about games, upcoming games, and just the Switch in general, among other things. Tell me if you have a Switch and we can friend each other!

I remember there was once. However it broke down into flame wars and people who dont value Weegee we can use this one.

Awesome concept… not-so-awesome execution. I personally liked the ability to have a screen on the controller with the Wii U, but the lack of portability made me sad. I wish they had released the Switch as a pair of consoles - one that was beefier, but less mobile that could connect to the more lightweight, but portable Switch we know today so that the Switch could be a controller for what I'll call the CCC (CrossCompatibilityConsole). The individual controllers could plug in their own games (and thus run 3DS games) or the new console games. The less portable console would have back compatibility all the way back to GameCube (because the Wii U had that back compat. if you had a peripheral) but also be capable of running the new cartridges.

It'd have been awesome and an all around improvement if they had done that.

I don't think it's bad execution, it's more a lack of features. It does what it promised (was a home console and portable console and it's rather easy to switch between the two). I think you're meaning it's more lackluster than it is bad

I don't think it's bad execution, it's more a lack of features. It does what it promised (was a home console and portable console and it's rather easy to switch between the two). I think you're meaning it's more lackluster than it is bad

I think we can try not to get into arguments but instead light debates so this doesn't go the way the other one apparently did. I can kind of see what you mean about there being two consoles, but that just feels, I don't know, weird to me.

Back in the good ol' days, I went over to my friend's house every single day (unless I had drama club) One day we went over to some random boy's house to play on his Nintendo switch.

After countless hours of playing on it (ugh I miss those days so much) I can say that it was super hard to see anything on it.

That's all I have to say

Switch is pretty cool.

Some of my random experiences with the switch:
- Odyssey is like the best thing ever
- My friend thinks motion controls are bad in Spla2n
- Idk
