Is this allowed? (Situation has been solved, please ignore)

I just saw someone who remixed a featured project (by the way it's not mine) and changed it completely as if they were making it as their own, sounds good right? But then I found out they were remixing the featured project just so they could get more views, I want to know, is this even allowed on scratch? And if not, why? It's just a greedy way of getting fame.

Nevermind, the person was doing it because they were encouraged by someone else to.

Anyone can remix famous projects- as long as they give credit.

I know they can, but they are completely changing it and they said they did it just to get fame.

Nevermind, I found out why they did it and they apologised, sorry for wasting time. I will close this as soon as possible.

Yeah, that's not okay. It comes under the “Be honest” Community Guideline. If you see somebody doing it a lot, I suggest you report the project and explain the situation.
