I'll have a think about joining as a front-end dev, but I can't confirm anything at the moment.

Cool. I'll handle the business side, and I can also make the logo

There is nothing wrong with GitHub or the MIT License.

Yes, there is; and reasons were just listed. To counter them, you need to give reasons…

Here are the arguments provided, and if you disagree with a point then explain why..

Sorry, I would think about joining but there are two major problems stopping me from joining:

1. You are licensing this software under the MIT license.
This means that all code I input would be able to be used by proprietary software. I do not want that to happen, as proprietary software is bad.
If you consider licensing it under the GPL (or even the LGPL, though preferably the first) I might consider joining.

2. You are using github.
Github is rated F (for fail) on the GNU Ethical Repository Criteria: https://www.gnu.org/software/repo-criteria-evaluation.html
This means that it is unsuitable to host software on.
I looked at why Github is rated this, and the reasons are truly horrible.
Github requires non-free javascript for important functionality!
This means that it is unusable for me, or anyone who cares about their freedom.

If you consider hosting it on your own server, or using GNU savannah, or at least Gitlab, I might consider joining.

Only until these two problems are solved, will I be able to consider joining.

1. There is nothing wrong with wanting to license your software under the MIT license. If you personally don't want to contribute to an MIT-licensed project, that is your business.
2. It is a choice to use proprietary software. If you don't have a problem using proprietary software, you should go ahead and do so.

In any case, it's rather likely that @absulh is not being sincere, given that they only joined 3 hours ago. So… [/offtopic]

Yep, generally, whenever somebody registers a Scratch account minutes before making a post on the ATs about free software, Gentoo, or communism, it's a troll account… Edit: continued discussion in comments[/offtopic]

I didn't even need to answer:
