Why does it have to be so hard to earn a Scratch Wiki account? Why can't Scratchers join the Scratch Wiki without any requests?

This may seem true to some people, but it might be annoying to request more than once to get an account for the Scratch Wiki.
Why do you even need a request for the Wiki so badly? It's like saying this in a nutshell:
Jvvg(Scratch Wiki account accepter/decliner) – (looks at User verification project) Wow, there's a lot of requests.(refreshes and sees 10 more requests) That's a lot of requests.

Scratchers: Please accept my Scratch Wiki request, Please accept my Scratch Wiki request! Please accept….

Jvvg – (reads requests)(sees that they are very long requests)

(A While later….)

Jvvg – (Rage Quits reading requests and decides to accept them instead)Finally!

Scratchers: Yes!, Yes!, Yyyyyeeeeessss!!!!

That's exactly what will happen to the Scratch Wiki request acceptors in a couple of years.
Does anybody agree that we should make Scratch Wiki requests easier? Scratch Wiki requests are nothing but a homework assignment.

They are so easy to do now! You just fill out a couple things and you're done. It used to be super difficult to get in, and we don't need it getting any easier than it is now. The reason you have to apply is so random users can't get on and wreck havoc

You have to apply so that random people won't mess up a ton of articles.

It's actually really hard for me. I got rejected 3 times already.

Well then maybe you should change something up with your request notes.
Make sure you use proper grammar, include the codeword, and don't say why you should join the wiki, just point out a few errors and suggest things to add.
Pretty simple.

Last request I made for the Scratch Wiki did include 4 errors about the Flawed Article, and I did include the codeword, but it was not about things to add. I got rejected, but why? Shouldn't I be Semi-rejected?

Semi-rejected? That doesn't make much sense, I would only think you could be rejected or accepted.

You have to include things to add if you want to get accepted, it says so in https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/S:CONTRIB in the box that says “What to include in the request notes”.

As a Wiki Editor, I'll answer this question. It's to prevent vandalism and improper grammar. It's also a test to see if you know how to fix errors and contribute to articles. Just keep trying to improve your request notes (and remember to wait a week if gyour request is rejected), and you'll get there!

By the way, jvvg isn't the only person who accepts account requests. All the EW's (Experienced Wikians) can approve, partially reject, or fully reject account requests.

Ok thanks!
I don't get why this is homework for Scratch school…

Just read all the notes, point out errors, use good grammar, use the code word and point out stuff to be added.
