Living the life of a fairytale was a blessing to most. You were popular. You were amazing. you were the star of the show. At least, that was how it was supposed to go. For Liliana, it was a curse. Too much attention. Too many people. Not enough privacy. She sometimes wished she was born like her friend Sofia. A normal girl. Not some “princess” growing up in a “castle”.

She wanted a normal life, something she knew she'd never have. Her parents simply said they were sort, and there was nothing they could do. SHe'd put on a brave face, and said she was fine. But after she'd left, and was locked in her room, she'd cried herself to sleep. But, her parent's had heard through the door, and were worried. So that night, they'd made a solemn promise to themselves to make her as happy as they could. But that was five years ago.

This was now. She could deal with the paparazzi. She could but on a fake smile for the cameras. All the villagers would gather around to see her, and she'd smile. A genuine smile, hoping that one day she'd be able to flee the life of a “royal” and live as a commoner. And that day just might be today.

Liliana woke up early the next day. She left a note on her bed, for her parents. It said, "Dear Mom and Dad, I'm going over to Sofia's to spend the weekend. I'll be back soon.“ She then signed her name at the bottom in calligraphy. She made her bed, laying the note on top of it, making sure it was visible. Then, she packed her bag.

She took clothes, a notebook, some art supplies, her toothbrush, and all the money she'd saved up over the years. It wasn't much, but she hoped it would be enough for now. Then, she slowly opened the door, peeking to make sure her parents were still sleeping, and quietly tiptoed to the kitchen. She reopened her bag, and after separately wrapping the food, she carefully placed everything into her bag. She quietly walked up to her parents room, and blew a silent kiss. She promised herself she'd return home one day, but hopefully not soon. It was time to go.

She grabbed the spare keys, for when she returned, off the side table by the door. She opened the door, taking one final glance at her house, before leaving. By the time they woke up, and saw the note, she'd be long gone from Crystallia. She closed the door, and made her way down the steps. She'd chosen right, when she picked out her outfit this morning.

She'd put on blue jeans, a white shirt, and a grey hoodie. No one would expect her to be wearing this because it was ”so unlike her“ as others would say. She readjusted her hood, for what must be the tenth time, before she even left her street. She passed by everyone, yet no one recognized her. She just crossed her fingers hoping she wouldn't run into Sofia, the only person who probably would recognize her. She hurriedly walked intent on leaving on leaving Crystallia. She needed to get away, and fast, before someone caught her. Too late. ”Hello, Miss. Where are you going?“

”Hello, Officer Pete. I was just…. going to the park.“ She said, glancing at the park a block down. ”Oh! Ms. Liliana. My apologies.“ ”Oh, it's fine.“ She said, with a smile. Officer Pete was a family friend, which means if she didn't get out fast, she'd definitely get caught. ”Have a great day!“ ”Thank you, Liliana." She was just thankful he didn't mention her bag. She made her way past the park, hopeful no one else would see her. She eventually reached the edge of Crystallia, marked by a sign, decorated with crystals. The sign said, Welcome to Arxenia. She took a deep breath, and crossed.

Arxenia was beautiful! How could she have not been here before? The sidewalks were yellow, and reminded her of the yellow brick road, like in The Wizard of Oz. She passed a store called Colored Beauty, which, from the looks of it, looked like a clothes store. She passed five different cafés, and eventually stopped at a sixth one called Starla's Coffee. She curiously opened the door, to find the place explode with color.

There was pinks, and blues, and basically every color of the rainbow. She walked up to the counter, looking up to see the menu. “Hi! Can I help you?” A girl, Jenny, asked. “Um, yeah. Can I have the… Star Swirl Shake? A medium?” “Vanilla, Strawberry, or Chocolate?” “Which one's the best?” “I personally favor the strawberry.” “Strawberry it is, then.”

Jenny smiled, and nodded, heading into the back to fetch her order. While she did that, Liliana looked around the shop. It really was one of a kind. It looked nothing like the ones back home. “Here you go.” Jenny held out the drink for her. She smiled, and bent down to grab her money from her bag, but Jenny stopped her. “Please, it's on the house.”

When she saw the girl didn't look entirely convinced she shouldn't pay, she continued. “Besides, you look like you haven't had anything in a while.” She nodded, and waved, thanking her. “You're knew her, right?” Jenny called, as Liliana opened the down. She glanced at her curiously. “Just never seen you ‘round her before.” “Oh, yep! Just… visiting.” Jenny noticed her hesitate, but said nothing.

“Well, then welcome!” She smiled one last time, with a “thank you”, and left, the door closing behind her. She looked at her drink, noticing that she’d given her a large. She'd have to go back later, and try to pay her back. She sipped her drink, because that girl was right. She was starving! But, this'll have to do for now. Mmmm. Delicious!

Drink in hand, she continued on her way, through the town, stopping to admire decor, and window shop.

When she finished her drink, she threw it out, continuing on her way. She saw a restaurant called Armenia Palace.

Food.

Her stomach growled in response, so she opened the door, the golden bell jingling softly.

She should meet someone named Kaitlyn. This may be a rude question to ask (and you do not have to answer if you do not want to) How old are you? Because you have a huge writing talent and reading this story makes me have goosebumps because it is AWESOME!
