Trying to NPM install in the scratch-blocks folder using WSL gives me this. Any idea? Should I reinstall node? (Node itself works in WSL just that NPM doesn't)

Are you using Windows? The build script doesn't work there – try using WSL.

reinstall python2 by connecting the universe repository and then doing

sudo apt install python2

I can't install scratch-blocks. I have python 2.x installed. I've tried uninstalling python 3.x, restarting my computer and reinstalling python 2.x making sure to enable PATH environment variables.

yeah, change the package.json to be “python build.py && webpack”
(it's on line 16)
because for some reason the newest installed python, doesn't matter what version, takes over the “python” PATH

That's because you didn't define the block in the scratch-gui or scratch-vm
