I wanted to do a parody AMV of it, but I am unsure if it would be okay. There would be no blood, just the characters vanishing or something

I mean, if this isn't okay, I'll do the song ‘Creepy Toast’ instead, a song about a scary piece of toast

Also, the song is not serious, it is clearly meant to be humorous

or is it just playing in the background or something?

If you are having the whole project about this song, it has a bit of a chance of freaking out little kids.
Vise-versa, having it in the background, that's fine.
(unless you listen the the words, it just sounds like a modern song if it was in the background.)

Its an AMV of it, but it is meant to be funny, not scary

i would say this would be fine, i honestly wouldn't even have given it a second thought.

Changed my mind. It should be fine.
Only if it's a little tiny kid that gets scared easily gets to your project, you shouldn't worry about it.
