The difference between cliche and not cliche:
Cliche: The rich girl is incredibly shallow and puts everyone beneath her
Not cliche: in my oc universe the rich girl has an iPhone 7S and is obsessed with origami

When a character doesn't like who they are and then goes on this adventure to realize being themselves is okay.
There are a couple movies/books/etc. with this kind of plot that are actually quite good, but a lot of them are just overdone.

There are a couple movies/books/etc. with this kind of plot that are actually quite good, but a lot of them are just overdone.

When a character doesn't like who they are and then goes on this adventure to realize being themselves is okay.Exactly why I don't watch movies, by the 15 minute mark you basically know how it'll end

When I have to open the door to the boss in the temple, but the boss key won't work, but I have to get past the boss to see my favourite character in Majora's Mask.

The character that's super nice and you really like turns out to be evil and the game forces you to not like them. If I see someone nice in a game, I always expect a stupid plot twist.
