"Could not read project; file may be damaged; (bad header)" Help!!
I was working on my project in Scratch 1.4, then I restarted my PC because it was just being really slow.
I go back to Scratch and I get the message “Could not read project; file may be damaged; (bad header)”.
I've looked online but it really sounds like there's no way to solve this issue, which sucks. Any tips? I don't have backups unfortunately - only the corrupted file.
Thanks in advance <3
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 57.0, Flash 27.0 (release 0)

I'M SO SORRY THIS HAPPENED TO YOU!!!
THIS HAPPENED TO ME RECENTLY TOO
I'm afraid you can't do anything - I was trying very hard to restore the file (Going through previous versions of my pc state, restore previous file and many other methos). Somehow - Luckily for me I have an ancient folder of the project uploaded on my cloud storage from 2 months ago, but it has been so behind I eventually lost enthusiasm so I am making a new project now (All the scripting was lost and a few sprites).
All you can do for now is upload it very often on your cloud storage or copy a file of the project and open it as an ‘emergency’ folder in case the file corrupts again. It must suck a lot, because I can imagine how much effort you have put in your project and all of it is just gone
Take care and good luck xx

Perhaps you could repair the header with a HexEditor by copying the header from other project.
