Help With GIFs - Anyway to easily create transparency?

Hi All! Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, you all seem to be one of the most tech savy forums here and might be able to help me.

I'm a middle school teacher and I've been getting into Scratch for the past two years. While my past experience was mostly in film making and Photoshop, I've been trying to up my game in scratch for my new classes, getting into game making and intro to motion graphics stuff with Scratch for my 6th and 7th graders. Just recorded this the other day to show to some other teachers: https://youtu.be/oD4bb_DaNbo to give you an idea of where I'm at!

My question is does anyone know any easy way to create transparency in a GIF other than trying to magic wand it out frame by frame in pixlr or photoshop? (That's way to time consuming for inclass)

Giphy's Gifmaker is awesome but doesnt save with transparency intact so we cant use that.

Since I can only do fullscreen I think I might make a choose your own adventure story, where each click will let students progress to the next GIF collage scene they made… Seems like a workable project with the full GIF's, it would be great though if they could make hogdepodge GIF Collage monsters or design and import it in with white=transparency… Meh!

Help!

Go to looks
change [color ] effect by (25)
than change it to
change [ghost ] effect by (25)
to add ghost effect
or
set [ghost ] effect to (0)
to set ghost/transparency to a certain amount
if you repeat it will eventually disappear but make it to 100 it will disappear
if it is 0 there isn't any transparency.

Basically the Ghost effect toggles the transparency. 100 is invisible and 0 is opaque.

Hi, and Welcome to my signature! It doesn't change that often, but, hey, might be intresting to read; you never know (or at least not until you read it.) If you've got this far, it's pretty obvious that you're reading this to see just how intresting it is. Yes, you're reading this to see if there's a bonus bit at the end. You have to satisfy your natural curiosity and see how it turns out. Well, I dare you to stop…
You couldn't do it, could you? Sorry, you lost! Bye now!
