Browser Extension/Userscript Policy
I don't really think that's a problem. I mean, almost nobody advertises Extensions. For those who say: “We've lost all our crowns!!!”, I'd say that @World_Languages could make an option for that. I understand that users probably won't know what is isOnline, that's why I'm not against something like: “There are Extensions. Check them out!”, or a website “scratchextensions.com”. But I simply don't understand why this topic gains 12 pages in 1 day.

Here's a better solution I propose:
When a user creates a forum post, there is a checkbox they can tick that says something like “This post references external code”. This option will result in a prominent disclaimer/warning message being put at the top of the post which explains to users that they should be wary about running untrusted code.
I agree with this. The scratch team should have either a warning added to pages in which these are referenced, or build a small community of ATers that can manually review extension through an open source platform like Github. These people could review the code to make sure nothing harmful is present inside. A public list of “acceptable extensions/userscripts” should be sticked to an AT page, where users can submit their extensions for review.

Yes, that would be great, but ceebee said that the checking every scratch extension is not exactly in the ST's line of work.

That is why i suggested assigning the role to ATers that are willing to moderate

Exactly!Yes, I agree. That's what I've been trying to tell everyone. To be honest, the fact that you can't get a crown is tiny, the whole point is to see if people are online or not. Okay, people, personally, I don't use ** or ** or whatever they are, but it isn't that big of a deal! You can still use them, you just won't get a virtual crown. Please stop hating on the Scratch Team; it is probably to get less website traffic. You can be mad or sad or any other emotion, just don't go and be so, you know, out there about it.
I'm confused about why people are making a big deal about it.
This is my forum signature, here it's okay to… forget it, you've probably seen hundreds of these signatures before.

I don't really like this change, but I can live with it. Will you still be able to add Isonline to your browser from the Chrome store?
I enjoy Minecraft PC, PE, and Windows 10, Roblox, Terraria, Age of Empires, and Civilization V! My best scratch game is Dodge the Birds! The project that I am currently working on is Virtual Jedi Pad! I am part of a LEGO robotics team that went to national competition, and I am learning JavaScript!
