Im a middleschool teacher in Portland OR and I been working with Scratch for the past few years while also doing a big focus on Pixlr/Photoshop & Audio Editing before scratch, so students are ready to bring in custom visuals&audio.

Lately Ive been getting into GIFs and animation alot and looping that back into scratch with the students.

We've been making (random goofy) GIF Collages in google slides (This sort of thing: https://goo.gl/cETPmD ) and then doing screencasts, then converting the videos to GIF's, so we can add them back into scratch. They work well as square sprites (example: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/186731635/ ), but im trying to figure out of we can add transparency somehow?

My question is does anyone know a way to easily add transparency to a pre exisiting GIF? Ive seen some suggestions like, white pixels can be made transparent, but I cant figure out a way to take students collages and get them saved as GIFs with transparency!

We could do alot of cool stuff if i could figure this out!

Oh also! Giphy has a really neat GIF making aspect & collage/drawing/textgen ability but no transparency O_O,
