Hi! My daughter spent hours on a project and then we couldn't remember our ID. So, I decided to create a new account. Now I am stuck on the “Join Scratch” screen, superimposed on her project, and I can't get out of it. In the meantime, I opened a new window and successfully created this new account, but I can't sign in on the page where the project is.

Try signing in on a different page of the website, and if you forgot your old account password, you can retrieve it with the “forgot password” at the sign in, anyways, go to the home page of the site and then clear your browser cache. To do that:

-if on Internet Explorer, hit F12 and then ctrl-r
-if in Mozilla Firefox, hit ctrl-shift-delete, select the boxes, and clear it.
-if on Chrome, access your history and clear your cookies and data

But frankly, I'm confused with what you mean by forgetting your “ID”. Are you referring to an unshared project, a username, or a password? If you happened to forget the URL of the project your daughter was working on, at the top-right of the site when logged in go to the folder with the S and click it. From there, you can see all your shared and unshared projects.

Ah, I should have said we forgot our Username. In any case, I can't get the “Join Scratch” screen to go away. I've decided to try downloading the program to our PC and then uploading it to our account so I can just close the whole browser. Will let you know if it works.

So wherever you go on the entire site the join Scratch screen is up? Anyways, clearing your cache, as I showed above, can likely fix this. Also, what browser are you using?

Right, the Join Scratch screen wouldn't fully display and wouldn't go away. I use Explorer. I was able to successfully download it to my PC and then upload it to a new window, so now it is in our S folder. I've closed that window, and I'll make sure to delete browsing history. Thanks!
