So, I had a great idea to make a project based off of ‘The Tale of The Three Brothers’ by Beedle the Bard. These stories are from the fictional world of Harry Potter, as you may know. Anyway, the problem comes with the end of the short story, when (SPOILERS, highlight to read)Death meets the three brothers once again. Now, obviously they meet again by dying… Two of the brothers meet ends that may be inappropriate, so I plan to censor the death of the first with just an image of a flash of green light, and then a guy walking out of a room. I was trying to find a way to censor the second one, so I thought I would just say that ‘the second brother longed to see his wife again’ or something like that. Is that okay? If not, could you think of a better way to censor it?

Well, they are kind of graphic. The flash of green light would probably be okay, since only Harry Potter fans would understand what it meant, and at that point they would have been exposed to people being killed with magic already. So in order to understand that they would have to have already been exposed to it, so that's probably okay.

As for the second brother… eh… the way that it's depicted in the movies (I hope I used that word correctly) is too graphic for Scratch by far. But if you could come up with a way to censor that, such as something like “but he longed to be with her, and could not live without her, so he asked Death to allow him to join her”, it would probably be okay.

This is getting a bit repetitive at this point, but

Anyway, if you can come up with a way to censor it so that people who are oblivious, such as non-Harry Potter fans or younger children won't get it, then it should be okay. But it might get marked NFE.

Yeah, it's not expressing gore or anything, but someone might find it a little controversial.

As long as the story has no things like swearing, rude graphical things or gore, it should be fine.

It would most likely get marked NFE, as death is allowed but if it were too graphic then it would be removed.
I am not allowed to watch or read Harry Potter though…

Maybe if you could say death defeated or took the brother, or have a narration instead of that particular scene
