Forum search engine horribly broken.

Whenever I click on the “Search” button, it leads to a page that tells me, “Your search showed no results”, and I haven't even typed anything yet! There is no forum search bar. I don't know how this thing is even supposed to work!

Well, now, I found out. It's broken, because I've seen users complain about the fact that they couldn't search up anything. The engine is broken, and needs to be fixed right away.

I don't really understand why other users said that they were able to search stuff because they mentioned searching for forums but then isn't the search broken for me? Unless it's from certain users, of course.

I also wanted to know what is causing this to happen.

It's coming… eventually. When people say they're searching the forums, they're using custom engines. Try typing into Google

The reason it doesn't work is because it used a Google search engine, which meant that users from China couldn't search in the forums, so I'm guessing they disabled it.

It used to use Google like the old search bar, but that meant Chinese users couldn't use the search bar due to the Chinese government blocking a lot of sites. Google included.
That's why they updated the search bar and why the forum search bar doesn't work.

People shouldn't say “DUPLICATE DUPLICATE DUPLICATE *insert link to a duplicate topic, even though this one's the first*” if there is no search bar!! I agree. This needs to be fixed, ASAP!
