Vector.

It is better to animate with sprite costumes, as the sprites can be easily moved around and used.

Always animate with sprites.

Either bitmap or vector makes fine animations. The techniques are different and the visual appearance is different, so you can't really substitute one for the other.

Neither one is any easier than the other once you have learned both of them.

As a general rule, all games supposed to look like Gameboy or old Nintendo games should be bitmap animations.

Games supposed to look like Flash games should be vector animations.

If you want pixel art or retro sprites, it's better to use bitmap. Otherwise, I would use vector. Bitmap seems more glitchy.

The easier one to do is Vector and you should animate using costumes
