So, having just looked at the Scratch statistics, I have a question. Why did all of the statistics seem to drop for June? This trend happened to the following:

• New Projects
  
• New Studios
  
• New Users
  
• Project Creators
  
• Comment Creators
  

Now the most drastic one here is certainly Project creators, dropping a massive 100,000 from May to June. So what's the cause of all this?

Maybe the frequent server crashes have put users off, or just made it more difficult to navigate the website?

I think they started increasing back in June, and just got worse more recently.

Summertime. Many Scratchers are actually students taking computer classes.

In America, schools usually end in May or June and start back in August or September

I'm pretty much only one of many Scratchers that use Scratch full-time.

I'm pretty much only one of many Scratchers that use Scratch full-time.

Most notable scratchers use scratch full time. for example, me (I'm not THAT notable, but still), and… a lot of people.

Could be due to the fact that it's summer - even though I'm on Scratch basically year round.

Probably because they removed the Discuss button.

They are, but remember, it's not just winter in Australia, but in the whole southern hemisphere.
At the moment, it's summer break for most people (I say most because some might take summer school) in the US, a large portion of Scratch's user base.
Of course, some of them might be taking computer classes, and some may not be interested in using Scratch outside of school.

I use Scratch almost constantly, and not just for school.

I actually joined in late May, and shared a LOT of projects in June, crazy, right? I used to share 3-5 projects a day.
