Academy Student: A ninja in training, takes no missions

Genin: A recently graduated ninja, Takes D to low B Class Missions. Trained with two other Genin and a Jonin Sensei

Chunin: A genie that passed the chunk exams, Takes C to high B Class missions

Anbu Black Ops: Assassins and Killers, Takes any variety of missions

Jonin: Elite trained Shinobi, each Jonin is responsible for teaching atleast one three man group of Genin up till thhey become Chunin. Takes most missions

Kage: Leader of the village, hands out missions and assigns Genin teams to a Jonin Sensei

Academy Students are ranked up via passing the exam, which entails a written portion, a sparring portion, and a practical portion which entails the use of a Henge (Disguise), Bunshin (Clone), and a Substitution. Those that pass become Genin. Genin are promoted by taking the Chunin exams, which are a three part exam. Chunin are promoted either to Anbu or straight to Jonin. Anbu become Jonin after comepleting a certain number of years in the Anbu. Jonin become Kage when the current one steps down, and selects a successor from said villages Jonin.

Practical Info.

Each use of Chakra is classified into a Jutsu, which is then sub classified into either Ninjutsu (A Physical Attack), Genjutsu (Illusion), Kinjutsu (Forbidden Art), Dojutsu (Eye stuff, Inherited from Clans) or just a plain Jutsu.

Each physical attack is classified into either Taijutsu (Hand to Hand) or Kenjutsu (Sword).

Practical Techniques: Henge, is essentially a disguise. Bunshin, is essentially making a clone that will do anything you ask, only Shadow Clones can actually attack the opponent. And substitution, which is switching places with a log of something to avoid an attack.
