hold it! i can never get anyone to work with me… aaa… ok i've gotten some motivation to write it but… i can't do the best art… and don't get me started onn actually making it a game. (rip)

So I've re-started writing Scorpio for the third time.
Well, I haven't started re-writing it because this time, I'm planning it out. Making it make sense. I was going to write an outline for it– but just a sketch, not an in-depth thing, just a general idea of what form the plot will take. But then it turned into full blown summaries of every scene.
I don't know if this will be helpful, or if it'll drive me crazy. But I'll try it.
Yeah I turned from a complete “pantster” to a complete planner. That's weird. I never thought i'd be a complete planner.

Anyway this also made me realize I write stories like how I write music; I just jump in with no idea of structure and then I clean it up painfully later.

Oh also I realized there's not really a plot
Pretty much 50% of the whole thing is just introspection
So I inadvertently wrote 3 books about kids realizing that they're terrible people

i'm crying

I made a list of characters who I need to fix because they're underdeveloped or plot-holey or whatever and it's like almost every major-ish character (and some minor characters)
Yeah pretty much all of them except for Eric, Ada, and Renx
there's so much to fix aisekfjnjwa,msndfczl
i hate revising

so yeah a few days ago i realized that pascal is basically a litten
he has fire powers, is grouchy, likes cats, and gets progressively more incineroar over the series

okay and so eric is rowlet, because he's described as looking like an owl, and he's green

and i guess scorpio gets to be popplio, she seems pretty popplio-y i guess
though if i had to pick one pokemon to be scorpio, i'd probably say ariados… hmm, not protagonisty enough. pikachu now what's a protagonisty bug or poison type? the protagonistiest bug type i can think of is heracross, which does not fit her at all. and poison types are associated with villainous teams. well, drapion could work. maybe she could be lurantis. gardevoir, maybe… no, she's not pretty enough. maybe a ghost type… mismagius? mismagius seems pretty scorpy.

eric could be goodra, actually, because acid, dargons, and protagonistiness

I rebooted Scorpio again… this is the third time now…
I think it's going a little bit better. I've planned things out more. But there are some big holes I'll have to work on, probably before I hit the third chapter. Because then I'll get stuck. And when I get stuck, bad stuff goes down.

It's changed a lot. The beginning went from “Scorpio doesn't want to go to her sister's dance recital, some spiders bully her into going through a magical tunnel. She meets a giant scorpion and Melania Marlegrausse, who is friendly” to “Now she's in the toolshed because she's bored, and Melania is an angel” to “Now she's eating chicken on the deck and a giant wolf spider lures her to Melania, who got a personality reboot and is now an absolute buttface” to “Now she's taking a walk in the woods and the giant spider is now an orb weaver with anger management issues named Weaver and Melania's not just a buttface, she's insane”

Anyway, this new version has a lot more bugs. And it's in third person.
