That's not the best suggestion, because although it will give you a more accurate idea of what people think of your project, this can lead to people getting discouraged if their project gets rated really low. The Scratch Team seems to have this stance on lots of things, which, I assume, is why there's also not a “like” button (because if someone didn't like your project, that must mean they didn't like it), but having a love can make you assume that they liked it anyway. There's also not a dislike button presumably for this reason.

In order for something to be constructive, you need to have a genuine and backed up explanation on why persons have rated something like that. Simply saying something is “boring” can't give any advice on how the user can make it better. That's why there is the comments section- to give advice on how to make something better so the user can constructively reflect on how good their project is.

Good… Or “bad”. That's the thing. The Scratch Team doesn't want to discourage people, and having the ability to rate someone's project as one star, or “horrible”, wouldn't really make them feel very good, would it?

If you want to know if your project is “good” or “bad,” just read the comments.

Rejected suggestions list #4? Idk if it counts. -.-

Anyways, no support.

I don't really think it'll be a good idea. Don't take this the wrong way: You post your first project for example, do you think it'll get an instant five star if somebody viewed it?

It would kill a lot of self esteem imo. So yeah, that's my reason. :P

Or rather the ratio of loves to views. Or via the comments.

Not exactly because a view is every time the page is visited and the green flag is clicked.

Yeah, and newer users sometimes make projects that could get low ratings.
