MAPS
I really really really need help!!!!
How does a MAP work? Is it divided into certain parts each a particular length? Is it just sort of “choose a part of the music and we'll make it work”? What about animations, AMV or PMV or both? Does it have to be about the song? Are there even any rules? What does MAP even stand for?
As you can see, I have a lot of questions.

P. S. Does anyone who participates get to find the “X marks the spot” and get buried treasure?

MAP: Multi-animator project.
A MAP is a project with a certain song that the host (creator of the project) picks. Then, they split it up into 10 or more “parts” and other Scratchers can animate (if AMV) or add pictures (if PMV) to go along with a part they're given by remixing. When all the parts are taken and everyone finishes their part, the host makes a new project for the completed thing and puts all the participants' parts in the project.

Are there any rules?
If I was making one I would divide the 3 minute song into ten 18-second sound clips (approximately).
I would ask ten different people to each do an animation for one of the clips.
They would do that by remixing the project and adding a sprite that contains their animation and the sound clip.
Then I would combine the ten remixes into one final project.
