Letters not working.

This is very odd, but in every single Project i play the letters won't register. This doesn't effect Spacebar, or Arrow keys, etc… Just the letters. It has nothing to do with my keyboard, and I have no idea why it isn't working. Also, Another odd thing is, if I put the “ask” function in, I can write letters in that. ._. I have no idea why this is happening.

I think this should've gone in “Bugs and Glitches”. So by letters you mean abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz and their uppercase counterparts?

Hyped for MS-DOS 11.0

I'm guessing you are trying to use projects that definitely have the keys do something? If so, can you click on the black globe in the toolbar? This will let us know the data about your device and browser. Thanks!

I think it's the adobe flash player. I think you should wait for a while to make it work

Letters not working.

Sorry for repeating the question but my son has started using scratch this week and has exactly the same problem. It works for him offline but it will not recoginse the keys in the online version. It will move if he uses the arrow keys but he cannot get it to recognise the standard letter keys. Clicking on the globe it has the language as English - are we looking at the wrong globe? Many thanks

You should make a new topic to ask questions, not post on a topic that is several months old.
EDIT: the “black globe in the toolbar” is the one you see when writing/editing a post. It only writes down info about your OS and browser, it doesn't fix the problem.

this globe

If it's indeed a bug that's persistent and this person is experiencing the exact same thing it's pretty legitimate to bump the existing thread, rather than splitting up potential new information.
