Pound Sign
Hi,
You can obviously enter a UK pound sign into scratch for a variable, how do you get a pound sign when making a sprite and vector text?
I'm doing a text engine, all is fine but I can't get a pound sign in the default font. I know I can make one myself but it would help a lot if there was already one done in the scratch font.

Thanks for the suggestion. It doesn't work. I get the same character.
When I select the pond sign I get a “J” if I copy and paste a pound it pastes back a J into the sprite. It'll be a linux issue no doubt if it works on your PC

Is there a pound sign on your keyboard?
Hi, and Welcome to my signature! It doesn't change that often, but, hey, might be intresting to read; you never know (or at least not until you read it.) If you've got this far, it's pretty obvious that you're reading this to see just how intresting it is. Yes, you're reading this to see if there's a bonus bit at the end. You have to satisfy your natural curiosity and see how it turns out. Well, I dare you to stop…
You couldn't do it, could you? Sorry, you lost! Bye now!

I also have the same problem.
You can display a pound sign in most of the fonts, but if you change the font to Helvetica the pound sign turns into a J and if you change the font to Scratch it will just not show up.

That's interesting. I never knew you could change fonts - I thought I was more observant than that . Thanks for that. I have exactly the same as you.
I'll continue to make my own pound sign. Are you using Linux?
