Net neutrality is under attack again.

Recently, a move has been made by the FCC to revoke previously passed laws specifically designed to protect net neutrality, the concept that internet service providers cannot prioritize certain services and websites. Right now, that is true. But if nothing is done, then that will change.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened; SOPA was a similar incident, albeit in slightly better nature.

If the FCC wins, providers of your internet service will be able to prioritize certain websites and slow others to a crawl. To put this in perspective, lets say you visit Site A and Site B. Site A pays your provider big bucks to receive preferential treatment when sending and receiving data to and from your computer. Site A loads at top speeds, where Site B loads at a snail's pace. This is not OK, and is a direct violation of free speech, as cable companies will now be able to control what you can see on the internet; what loads, and what doesn't.

I advise all readers to search for “Battle for The Net” on Google and tell the FCC to back down and let net neutrality reign.

Note: Before taking stands in your post, I highly suggest doing a little research; don't simply go off of what the first item you find says. Take a little time to form your opinion.

The FCC isn't going to do anything, there was a *really, really horrible* spambot that would post the same message picking out real names in alphabetical order and I'm pretty sure it was them. Really sucks aswell, as someone who relies on looking at screens and the internet for most of his entertainment
