When I try to change my profile picture,(the box with the Scratch Cat) it says some odd thing about “functions”. Can I get some help? How am I supposed to change my picture?

Could you press the little world button, so we know you specifications? Then we can help you more.
You could try another browser like firefox?

Click the change button on your current picture then a file of things off your computer will load up, scroll though until you see the picture you want then press OK then your done!
Scratch on!

It's just above the box where you type your reply. It's also right of the smiley, and left of the blue block. Here's what it looks like:
