Any tips for making a character “fit into” a backdrop? Often times it kind of just looks like the character I place into a scene is just “in front of it all”, which doesn't look.. natural, I guess?

(PS, I'm not sure this is technically the forum to fit this discussion in, since “you guys ask me questions!” topics are kind of discouraged..)

Hello, _nix! I can solve your problem! Usually if you want to make it not look so ¨on top of everything¨ you have to make the characters skin/fur reflect on the light that shines on it. Say, if you have the sun in the top-right corner, your character will have the light from the sun shine on it, so make some parts of the top-right of you character lighter than the usual skin/fur color! Your welcome!

Ahh, right. I've noticed that before in other art; I'll need to try to apply it more!

It's great that you want to help out! However, the forum is designed to be used by users creating new threads for their questions and other users responding to them there. It's much better for organization that way and helps get more exposure to each question.If you'd like to help, try responding to some unresolved threads on the first 5 pages of the forum, or wait for some new ones to come in. You could also make a shop in Requests, or make a studio about this.
