1) Is there any reason to do this whatsoever?

2) If you're not in the 0.01% of people who can't make connection between anything (and I hope you're not), you'll notice that the mascot of Scratch is a cat because they Scratch stuff. Fish just swim eat swim eat swim eat eat swim.

3)The mascot being a fish would be copying sites like linguascope.

4) I agree with duckyboycool, there is something dodgy about this suggestion.
