Question about profile pictures

What is the best resolution for the profile picture? 100x100?

I'd say 90x90, no smaller. According to this topic, the sizes of a profile picture come in these sizes throughout the website:

90px (for forum posts)
60px (for studio curator lists)
55px (for display on the userpage)
45px (for comments)
